XMP-22 'Hypnos' SMG

Named for the Greek god of sleep, the XMP-22 is an experimental "Fully Silenced" Sub machine gun. Designed to be quite as possible, suppression starts at the chamber, hence the weapon's wide shape. This built in system allows the weapon to fire even high power rounds with a footprint as low as 58 decibels, less than half of that of traditional weapon. Unfortunately due to the weapons high weight (5.3kg's more than twice that of comparable SMGs) and extreme length (930mm nearly a third again as long as an MP-5) it is unlikely to be adopted in more than an enthusiast capacity. Although some argue that the weight makes the weapons recoil almost non-existent and the extra length gives the weapon better range than is normal seen in an SMG. The XMP-22's fate remains undetermined.  

The XMP-22 Hypnos fires standard 9mm rounds and has a built in flashlight, laser sight and HOLO sight.
