FM-90E Scorpion 2

The FM-90 is a ship based Multirole Fighter intended as a replacement for separate dedicated fighter and bomber wings. Armed with twin Laser ray cannon, a single Tachyon ray cannon and three ordinance launchers it had enough firepower to take on even large capital ships. It’s protected with a powerful ray shield giving it excellent defense against point defense systems, allowing it fight close enough to larger ships that it can target specific weak points in armor and shielding. While its sublight speed is phenomenal, 0.92c, it lackes an intra-space probe, limiting it to in system operations. Classified as a class 3 amphibious vessel, it is capable of operating in space, atmosphere and , if necessary, underwater (though it’s subsurface capabilities are rather lacking so this feature is rarely exploited). The Scorpion would go on to become the most produced space vessel in U.N.E. history serving for over 250 years.
